Job Description
As a Workplace Solutions Project Manager, you will provide leadership and inspire progressive thinking and innovative solutions on the Workplace Planning and Solutions team. You'll lead the development and implementation of programs dedicated to space utilization and the delivery of workplace solutions including the furniture and interior design strategy for both renovations and master plans for current and future corporate properties. The project management responsibilities include the full scope of activities including project initiation, planning, and execution in partnership with the Construction team or Building Operations where applicable, the overall performance monitoring, and project closure.
In this role, you'll lead the implementation of project communication plans and influence change management activities, while encouraging the business areas to optimize operations with the physical changes offered by the project. This position develops and implements workplace strategies for contractor oversight and ensures the methods, materials and equipment used is consistent with divisional principles, safety and risk management programs.

Salary: $116,186 - $141,166/annually

Where you'll work

As a Workplace Solutions Project Manager you will:
- Develop and execute programs dedicated to contract performance and safety management, sustainable operations and the delivery of contractor oversight and control
- Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with service providers, suppliers, contractors, trades, regulators, agencies, industry partners, landlords and internal partners
- Manage the evaluation and analysis of project and operational risk
- Manage and direct assigned staff and external team members in maintaining high levels of service and in achieving divisional priorities and objectives
- Lead teams in the execution of construction activities, escalating to senior management as required
- ensure safety and emergency management protocols are followed
- Identify contract requirements and in partnership with Purchasing and Legal Services, collaborate on the tender process, establishes and rates evaluations and make recommendations and/or decisions regarding selection; determine contract terms, participate in the negotiation and resulting contract type
- Create and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deal with conflict in a professional manner
- Provide guidance and support to management, staff and contract services relating to health, safety and environmental practices
- Lead and motivate project teams in a unionized environment
- Communicate and present information clearly and concisely appropriate to the intended audience
- Ability to travel and work throughout the province
- Post-secondary degree
- A professional designation in interior design and/or facilities management (e.g., Registered Interior Designer, Certified Construction Manager, Certified Facilities Manager, Facilities Management Professional, Sustainable Facilities Professional, Project Management Professional, and Architect) is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of recent work experience in a similar project management role
- A minimum of two years of experience managing staff and contractors/consultants, preferably within a union environment
- Class 5 driver's license
