Role Summary
We are hiring a finance professional to support with KDN finance to ensure the internal finance process works seamlessly in internal KDN, for our various functions and across the member firms.
What you will do
- Day-to-day finance and accounting activities including monthly accounting closes
- Serve as in-house technical accounting expert with particular focus on acquisitions (IFRS 3 accounting), Loans and funding (IFRS 9 accounting) and Leases (IFRS 16 accounting)
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance for all AE&I activities as necessary
- In the interim oversee AR/AP and Treasury functions including review of weekly cash management reports and AR collection activities
- Coordinate and serve as primary KDN contact for all statutory and group audits - Oversee preparation and review of all audit PBC documentation
- Hold primary responsibility for the creation and accuracy of all KDN Group and subsidiary financial statements
- Responsible for the monthly and annual closing process of KDN Holdco and its subsidiaries and supports monthly and quarterly management reporting requirements
- Review and approve weekly payment supporting documentation (pay run review) in rotation with other members of the Finance team
- Approve and Release payments from all KDN bank accounts
- Own or assist in preparing finance policy documents and guidelines, process maps and reporting templates
- Oversight of accounting quality including review activities and process improvements
- Act as the primary owner for finance process design and re-design ensuring quality of financial records is maintained
- Work to improve KDN's financial control environment through design and implementation of key controls throughout critical processes
- Oversee quality of accounting for KDN entities; Oversee financial reporting team to ensure their compliance with KDN Finance Principles and Policies, accuracy in journal entry preparation, reconciliations and other accounting tasks
- Primary contact for system development activities
- Serve as the primary system owner from KDN finance for the empowered project and KDN's SAP development post project completion
- Stakeholder management
- Serve as primary relationship owner for all KPMG advisors in the areas of accounting advisory and financial reporting
- People management including recruiting of new team members
- Work with service providers on enhancing finance and accounting systems and implementing new functionalities and reports
- Support indirect and direct tax teams with information for corporate direct/indirect tax filing
- Serve as Performance manager to multiple individuals within KDN finance organization
- Play a pivotal role as a key contributor driving change in the structure of the KDN finance team focusing on - Expansion of the finance team including the creation of a new controlling and AP teams
- Enable KDN's growth through improving/developing scalable back-office functions to keep pace with KDN's growth objectives
- Undergraduate degree in business or finance coupled with a CPA or other comparable accounting qualification/ designation
- Minimum 7 years progressive financial and management accounting experience and familiar with a wide range of finance processes including operational finance experience
- Knowledge of IFRS, internal controls and SOX requirements
- Excellent Excel skills
- Financial reporting experience preferably for large UK based groups
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred
- Self-motivated and proven ability to manage to deadlines
- Committed to delivering results with the ability to work with minimal direction
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Manages conflicting demands and priorities
